About the Role

As a key member of our Employee Relations & WHS team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the delivery of our employee relations strategy. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that all employee issues are managed fairly and equitably.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership on ER/IR matters, leveraging your knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures to drive best practice employment relations outcomes. This includes leading enterprise bargaining processes, managing union relationships, and negotiating with senior management, staff, and external stakeholders.

Some key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Leading the development and implementation of enterprise agreements;
  • Managing and mitigating industrial disputes through effective communication and negotiation skills;
  • Providing expert advice on employment law, policies, and procedures to inform business decisions;
  • Investigating and responding to discrimination, harassment, and bullying complaints; and
  • Negotiating with external tribunals and stakeholders to resolve complex employment relations issues.

About You

We are seeking an accomplished ER specialist with a strong track record of driving positive employment relations outcomes. As a stakeholder engagement and management professional, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders at various levels.

Your commercial acumen and ability to think critically will also be essential in achieving successful outcomes in this role. Additionally, we value candidates with experience in leading enterprise agreement negotiations, employment law, contemporary industrial and employee relations, and experience appearing in person at the FWC and other Courts and Tribunals.

Based on industry standards and the requirements of this role, the estimated salary range is AUD $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, plus superannuation and benefits.
