Main Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood and non-blood samples, conducting basic tests such as ECG and Holter Monitoring in accordance with strict guidelines and procedures.
  • Achieve accurate labelling and archiving of samples to ensure high-quality results.
  • Provide clear guidance to patients or caregivers on sampling procedures, promoting a supportive and educational experience.
  • Prepare specimens for transportation to the laboratory, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Possesses excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to effectively engage with patients, doctors, and medical staff.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic, being proactive, reliable, and committed to delivering outstanding patient care.
  • Showcases teamwork and adaptability, working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing autonomy.
  • Displays attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in record-keeping and sample handling.
  • Holds unrestricted working rights in Australia and is up-to-date with COVID-19 and annual influenza vaccination requirements.
  • Has completed relevant training and possesses required certifications, such as First Aid (HLTAID011).
