Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our hospitality team as a Leisure Assistant. As a key member of the team, you will provide exceptional customer service across all food and beverage venues operated by the council.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the hospitality industry, with a strong understanding of café operations, food handling, and presentation. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with basic food and beverage preparation, presentation, and delivery
  • Providing friendly and efficient customer service to guests
  • Handling cash and EFTPOS transactions and maintaining control of the point-of-sale system
  • Responsible for serving alcohol and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Assisting with internal and external functions and events
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Exceptional Customer Service – providing a welcoming and personalized experience for every guest
  • Hospitality Experience – proven skills in café operations, food handling, and presentation
  • Qualifications – holding a Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate, NSW Food Handler Basics Certificate, Current First Aid Certificate, and Class C Driver's License

  • Remuneration of $36.61 gross per hour + superannuation (12%)
