About the Role:

This position involves leading technical work across solar, wind and BESS projects from early feasibility through to commissioning. It requires a strong background in renewable energy, ideally across solar, wind or BESS projects.

The role involves balancing technical depth with commercial awareness, contributing to both project delivery and new opportunities. This includes seeing projects through from concept to commissioning, identifying improvements and championing innovation.

The successful candidate will guide junior engineers, contribute to our growing technical reputation and help scale our impact in the renewable space.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and deliver technical work across solar, wind and BESS projects from early feasibility through to commissioning
  • Support market-facing activities – from scoping to proposals and client engagement – helping position us as a trusted delivery partner
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement and commercial growth
  • Plan, track and deliver projects or sub-tasks to time, quality and budget
  • Actively mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge across the team
  • Represent engineering discipline in internal and external forums, including client meetings and industry events
Requirements:
  • Subject Matter Expert in at least one renewable energy area (solar, wind, BESS)
  • Broad understanding of related systems (e.g. protection, controls, SCADA, grid compliance)
  • Seeks out new learnings and proactively shares insights to elevate team performance
