**Role Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) to lead and support our team in providing high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will have extensive clinical experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and compassionate work environment.
As a Nursing Unit Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing evidence-based models of care to improve patient outcomes
- Providing coaching, guidance, and mentorship to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork among staff members
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care that is safe, effective, and efficient
In this role, you will also be required to:
- Support the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to continuously enhance patient care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with extensive post-registration clinical experience in the relevant specialty
- Strong leadership and management capabilities, including the ability to coach, support, and inspire a high-performing clinical team
- A commitment to patient-centred care, clinical governance, and continuous quality improvement
- Sound financial acumen, with experience in budget development and monitoring financial performance
- Demonstrated expertise in driving change, including developing and implementing evidence-based models of care and initiatives that improve service delivery and patient outcomes
