About the Role

The Library Specialist plays a pivotal role in promoting open education and copyright awareness.

This position involves advocacy, engagement, and collaboration with the academic community to advance open education and equitable knowledge sharing.

Key responsibilities include providing advice on open licensing and copyright, ensuring compliance, and contributing to a culture of open scholarship.

About You

To be successful as the Library Specialist, you will bring relevant experience or a combination of education and training, along with a strong interest in open education and copyright.

You will have a working understanding of Australian copyright legislation or a willingness to learn, and you will be passionate about supporting open education and equitable learning.

You will be a clear communicator who enjoys building relationships and engaging with academic staff and students.

  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to apply project methodology and manage deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs and outreach efforts and to develop, design and deliver training programs, educative resources, and professional activities, including workshops and communities of practice.
