Job Summary:
Austrade's Investment Division is seeking high-quality candidates to lead teams and manage work programs as Directors across the Division. The Investment Division consists of:
- three region-focused desks: 1) Europe, Middle East and Africa; 2) Asia; and 3) Americas,
- a Strategy, Insights and Performance branch,
- a Critical Minerals team.
The Investment Division works with our global network of Investment Advisers and partners with Australian state and territory governments to promote, attract and facilitate foreign direct investment into Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of Australian-based Investment Advisers supporting key investors and staff in our global network.
- Developing a strategic and disciplined client management approach of Austrade's portfolio of significant existing investors in close partnership with states and territories and offshore Austrade offices.
- Delivering advice, guidance and training to global teams that enhances capability in relationship management.
- Deploying an advisory approach to shaping, quantifying and delivering new investment opportunities or propositions, which can then be promoted to investors.
- Engaging across other government agencies, private sector developers and commercial intermediaries.
- Developing business insights from company engagement that can help inform development of government programs and policy.
Requirements:
- Australian citizenship – our successful candidate must be an Australian citizen.
- Security clearance – our successful candidate is required to hold, or have the ability to obtain and maintain, a Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance.
