We're a global investor and a leader in responsible investment. Our team supports the Future Fund in managing environmental, social, and governance risks and opportunities across the investment portfolio.

The Director, Responsible Investment will play a pivotal role in advancing our Responsible Investment (RI) strategy. This senior position requires a seasoned investment professional with expertise in RI. The position will lead the integration of RI principles across our investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

The Director, Responsible Investment, will lead the integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles across our investment portfolio. This includes collaborating with the investment team and subject matter experts to embed ESG risks and opportunities into investment research, decision-making processes, and ongoing monitoring activities.

In addition to internal collaboration, you will represent the Future Fund in external industry engagements, contributing to systemic change and building strong relationships with key stakeholders. Your role will involve leading strategic research, monitoring ESG risks and opportunities, and managing the investment exclusions process to mitigate reputation risks.

About You

To be considered for the role, you should possess relevant tertiary academic qualifications in finance, economics, sustainable investment, or a related discipline. You should have proven experience as a senior investment professional with a strong background in Responsible Investment. A deep understanding of investment principles and processes, ESG issues, and responsible investment practices across both public and private markets is essential.

Additionally, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to influence and engage with senior stakeholders and external partners effectively. Key competencies include strategic thinking, the ability to embed RI principles into portfolio design and construction, and strong collaboration skills.
