Structural Bridge Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Bridge Designer to join our team in South Queensland. As part of our award-winning bridge team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting infrastructure projects and advance your development in BIM and bridge projects.

This role offers the chance to be involved in the production of detailed structural models and drawings of bridges and other transport infrastructure, including full set-out and dimensioning and detailed drafting of bridge structural components. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with bridge engineers to prepare drawings and models to meet client specifications, project briefs, and tenders.

The successful candidate will have experience in the production of structural engineering drawings of reinforced and prestressed/precast concrete and structural steel, as well as experience in drafting of bridges for various state road agencies and local authorities. They will also have robust written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed structural models and drawings of bridges and other transport infrastructure
  • Work closely with bridge engineers to prepare drawings and models to meet client specifications, project briefs, and tenders
  • Develop skills in bridge drafting and modelling on major projects, and give exposure to the latest customised Revit tools and processes in bridge engineering

Requirements:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in bridge modelling/drafting
  • Associate Diploma (Civil) or similar
  • Experience in the production of structural engineering drawings of reinforced and prestressed/precast concrete and structural steel
  • Experience in drafting of bridges for various state road agencies and local authorities
