Security Expertise Role:

The Australian Government's Directorate of Security Operations (DSO) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Advisor to support the management of security pass office functions and access to Defence properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive audits and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to security policies and procedures.
  • Provide expert technical advice on building access control systems, building access card creation, maintenance, and reviewing relevant security policy and administrative procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external security stakeholders, including Managed Service Providers, to develop project plans for the management of security system capabilities.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, program, and project development, and provide professional policy advice for complex work.
  • Lead a team and be accountable for setting work priorities and managing workflows.
  • Engage with stakeholders to resolve complex issues and provide security expertise.

About the Role:

The Security Advisor will play a key role in supporting the DSO in implementing and enhancing network access control systems across Defence nationally. The successful candidate will have strong technical and security expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
