The following experienced underground personnel are required to join the underground Division at RUC Cementation Mining Contractors Pty Ltd:

About the Role

The company currently has an opportunity for a Qualified Mechanical Trade Fitter to join the Appin NSW Shaft Project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete machinery servicing and repair breakdowns.
  • Tasks include but are not limited to assembling, disassembling, modifications, and maintenance of transmissions, brakes, winders, sheaves, ropes, pneumatic rock drills and feed rails, parts ordering, and stock control.
  • Repair hydraulic systems/pipes/hoses, low voltage electrical faults, bearing and sheave, pneumatic rock drills and feed rails, replace broken bolts.
  • Servicing and maintenance of filters, changes oil.
  • Attend to breakdowns of machinery.
  • Complete all relevant safe check requirements.
  • Component change out of hydraulics.
  • Testing and fault finding of light and heavy machines.
  • Completion of service logs and daily/weekly run sheets.
  • Operation of Integrated Tool carrier (I.T.).
  • Tyre Changes.

Tickets and Licences Required:

  • Certificate III or higher in Diesel Mechanic or Mobile Plant Technology.
  • Strong knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Valid Manual Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Able to provide National Police Clearance (within 6 months of commencement).
  • Working Safely at Heights.
  • White Card.
  • Hold current Provide First Aid or ability to complete the course.
