Aquatic Technical Operator Role

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Aquatic Technical Operator to join our team at the Sydney Gymnastic & Aquatic Centre at West HQ.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our aquatic facilities. They will be responsible for administering and managing the plant room, ensuring safe and clean swimming experiences for all members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Pool Operations Coordinator, the Aquatic Technical Operator will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the aquatic facilities.
  • They will assist in delivering safe, clean, and enjoyable swimming experiences for all members and guests.
  • They will be responsible for administering and managing the plant room, including pool chemistry, sanitation, and filtration.
  • They will hold a Pool Lifeguard Certificate, Pool Plant/Aquatic Technical Operations Certificate, and First Aid and CPR Certificates.
  • They will have a Working with Children Check.

Requirements:

  • 2+ Years of Aquatic Technical Operator experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant aquatic industry codes and regulations, including RLSSA Guidelines for Safe Pool Operations and Lifeguard responsibilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of swimming pool chemistry, sanitation, and filtration.
  • Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
  • Pool Plant/Aquatic Technical Operations Certificate.
  • First Aid and CPR Certificates.
  • Working with Children Check.
