Electrical Design and Asset Management Professional

AusNet Services is a leading provider of energy infrastructure solutions in Australia, and we're seeking a skilled Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As an experienced professional in electrical design and asset management, you'll play a critical role in the development and implementation of our network infrastructure projects.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the design and development of electrical systems and assets for AusNet's network infrastructure projects.
  • You will work closely with our engineering teams to ensure that all designs meet relevant standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
  • You will also be responsible for auditing and reviewing electrical designs to ensure they meet the required quality, safety, and functionality standards.
  • Additionally, you will provide engineering support to resolve complex issues during project development and delivery.

About You:

  • You have a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with significant experience in utilities, particularly in design and asset management.
  • You possess in-depth knowledge of secondary electrical equipment, including design, performance, functionality, operation, and maintenance.
  • You are familiar with Australian Standards (e.g., AS2067) and have experience working with terminal stations and substations rated up to 500kV.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
