Senior Bridge Engineering Manager

The National Bridge Lead is a key position in our Infrastructure business, responsible for driving growth and leading our bridge engineering capability across Australia.
This role provides strategic support to the Regional Director for Highways & Bridges and involves supervising a team of bridge engineers and designers.
The successful candidate will have strong people leadership skills, with a focus on advancing bridge knowledge and expertise within the team.
Responsibilities include:
- Project planning, organization, and leadership in the delivery, design, and documentation of project requirements;
- Contract negotiation and dispute resolution, ensuring timely fulfillment of contractual obligations;
- Technical leadership and project management across multiple projects, fostering collaboration and innovation;
- Business development and strategic initiatives, including proposal preparation and client engagement;
- Mentoring and staff development, promoting excellence in technical work and compliance with business systems;
- Client relationship development and maintenance, building trust and loyalty through exceptional service;
- Team vision and leadership, driving motivation and productivity within the team;
- Recruitment and talent acquisition, expanding the team's capabilities and expertise;
- Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement, driving results through effective communication and partnerships;
- Employee management functions, including time approval and expense management.
