Tackling Indigenous Smoking Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Indigenous Health Promotions Coordinator to join our team at Central Australian Aboriginal Congress.
The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing local health promotional activities with a focus on tackling indigenous smoking initiatives and will work closely with our Health Promotions Manager to develop and implement health promotion strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health promotion strategies to reduce smoking rates in Indigenous communities
- Work closely with our Health Promotions Manager to develop and implement health promotion plans
- Conduct community outreach and engagement activities to promote healthy lifestyles and reduce smoking rates
- Collaborate with other health services and organisations to provide a comprehensive approach to health promotion
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community members, health services and government agencies

Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health-related field
- Experience in health promotion and community engagement
- Strong understanding of Indigenous health issues and the social determinants of health
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
