Insurance Portfolio Manager Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of commercial/SME insurance accounts. Your primary objective is to provide exceptional client service and drive business growth through proactive engagement and tailored solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of commercial/SME insurance accounts, including renewals, policy amendments, and claims management
  • Engage proactively with clients to understand their insurance needs and develop customized solutions
  • Negotiate with insurers to secure the most competitive premiums and coverage for clients
  • Prepare and present insurance proposals and policy documentation
  • Maintain detailed client records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Provide outstanding customer service and build lasting relationships with clients
  • Collaborate with the wider team to share best practices and drive continuous improvement
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as an Insurance Broker or Account Manager in the industry
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a portfolio of commercial/SME insurance clients
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex insurance concepts to clients
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Thorough understanding of insurance products, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and building long-term client relationships
  • Relevant insurance qualifications are highly desirable
