Paint Prepper and Detailer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Paint Prepper and Detailer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and detailing vehicles to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, prime, buff, and denib vehicles as per job sheet.
  • Handle all vehicles with due care and attention.
  • Maintain work bay and assist with cleanliness throughout the workshop.
  • Adhere to our Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) policy including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Detailing Tasks:
  • Quality check vehicles upon receipt, ensuring completeness of previous work.
  • Buff/de-nib paint to achieve required finish.
  • Polish the vehicle in accordance with procedures and processes.
  • Wash the car and ensure inside is clear of any waste or dirt related to the repair.
  • Maintain Clean Workspace Policy.
  • Carry out tasks in line with Company's Workplace Health & Safety and Quality Assurance Policies, Procedures, and Programs.
  • Contribute to creating a positive work environment for all staff and visitors.
  • Treat customer's vehicles and belongings with respect at all times.
  • Respect all company property and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a prepper or painting role within the automotive or similar industry.
  • Strong commitment to working safely.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
  • Full Australian work rights.
  • Current driver's license (not essential).
