We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Kitchen Support Expert. As a member of our team, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.

Job Summary:

The Kitchen Support Expert is responsible for ensuring the kitchen and surrounding areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. This includes operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools, washing and disinfecting kitchen and store room areas, receiving deliveries, and storing perishables properly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including dish washing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Receive deliveries and store perishables properly to prevent spoilage and contamination.
  • Ensure clean wares are stored in designated areas to maintain organization and efficiency.
  • Use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishes.
  • Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, send soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing.
  • Rack and spray all racked items with hot water to loosen and remove food residue.
  • Sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware to ensure it is clean and sanitized.
  • Break down dirty bus tubs and empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area.
  • Clean and mop all areas in assigned departments to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
  • Dispose of glass in the proper containers to prevent breakage and contamination.
  • Break down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclables in the recycle bin to maintain a sustainable work environment.
