Functional Requirements Specialist

As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in gathering and documenting functional requirements for various business processes. Your responsibilities will include working closely with traders, risk managers, and middle office teams to understand their needs and develop effective solutions.
You will gather and document functional requirements related to trade booking, life cycle events, and risk reporting. Additionally, you will act as a bridge between business users and IT development teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
Validation of risk engine outputs and collaboration with quant/dev teams to test and calibrate new models or metrics are also key aspects of this position. You will define UAT test scenarios and scripts aligned with business requirements, coordinate user testing, including data validation, regression testing, and issue resolution.
Tech Specifications (Qualifications)- 10+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role within trading, commodities, or financial services environments.
- Strong domain knowledge in trade life cycle, market risk, and front-to-back trading workflows.
- Experience with trading or risk systems is necessary.
- Good understanding of data handling and querying is essential.
- Ability to write clear functional requirements and work independently on business process analysis.
- Proficient in writing and validating functional specs, test cases, and UAT scenarios.
