The Health4Her project is a world-first initiative targeting low awareness of the link between alcohol and breast cancer among women participating in population-based breast screening programs.
A PhD scholarship is being offered to conduct research as part of the Health4Her Project, supporting the implementation-effectiveness trials, as well as the opportunity to gather data and explore a range of issues around women's health and alcohol consumption.
Research OpportunitiesThe project may include qualitative and quantitative research methods, the utilisation of implementation research frameworks, and consumer and stakeholder participation approaches.
Candidates will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and students based at Turning Point, Australia's leading national addiction treatment, training and research centre.
Supervisory TeamThe principal supervisor will be Dr Jasmin Grigg, a Research Fellow in Addiction Studies at Monash University and Turning Point.
Dr Grigg's research focuses on developing novel public health interventions to reduce alcohol consumption and related harms, and raise population awareness about the low levels of drinking that cause harm.
Eligibility RequirementsCandidates will need to fulfil the Monash University minimum requirements for admission to a PhD.
