The college is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8), and Senior Years Learning. As part of its 7th Stage of Building Development, the College offers state-of-the-art learning & specialist facilities.

A temporary part-time position is available to replace a staff member on parental leave. The successful applicant will teach in any Key Learning Area for Years 7-12 and provide quality pathways and employment education programs that develop students' skills, knowledge, and capabilities for post-school opportunities.

The successful applicant will advocate for students and provide links with external agencies supporting career development and education. This will ensure that students are aware of post-school options and can make informed decisions about their future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality pathways and employment education programs for students.
  • Teach in any Key Learning Area for Years 7-12.
  • Advocate for students and provide links with external agencies.

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe, and supportive learning environment.
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.

Desirable Selection Criteria:

  • Career Counselling Experience and an understanding of Vocational Education and Training (VET).
  • Be an active member of various Career Associations.

General Capabilities:

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area(s).
  • Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy.
  • The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.

Working with Children Clearance:

This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment.
