Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Marketing and Communications Specialist to contribute to achieving organisational strategic goals. The successful candidate will work closely with our Marketing Operations team, providing marketing and communications support to deliver the organisation's programs, services, events, engagement, and guardianship of the brand identity.

The role involves coordinating the approved marketing and communications of critical areas of the organisation's business and services. This includes:

  • Organisational brand management, processes, and systems
  • Online and offline program communications, publications & promotions
  • Social media management
  • Website management
  • Intranet management
  • Graphic design using Canva, as required
  • General public relations, as required
  • Merchandise management, as required
  • Coordination of print collateral for programs and projects, as required
  • Liaison with internal partners and stakeholders
  • Analysis and reporting on marketing and communications strategies
  • Monitoring and reporting on marketing/communications budget expenditure and variances, as required
  • Working with the team to ensure all approved marketing and communications projects needs are met and delivered as directed
  • Marketing and communications support to other internal staff as required
  • Working with external providers, as required

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing and Communications
  • 2+ years' experience in marketing and communications in a relevant industry/sector
  • Experience in marketing and communications logistics and production coordination
  • Experience using graphic design software
  • Awareness of contemporary marketing and communications tools, trends, and practices
  • High-level proficiency and literacy in Microsoft Office 365, website, intranet, and social media platforms
  • Exceptional organisation and time management skills
  • High-level written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proofreading skills
  • Strong attention to detail and concentration skills
  • First-class customer service ethos
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a small agile team
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and share knowledge

You must have:

  • A permanent right to work in Australia
  • Ability to work outside regular office hours if and as required
