We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team at The Centre for Positive Behaviour Support. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in conducting assessments, writing behavioural support plans and programmes, and providing support to Behaviour Therapists and Support Workers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions
- Develop Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support Plans
- Provide support to Behaviour Therapists and Support Workers
- Perform Behaviour Therapist duties if required
- Provide support and training to employees on clinical techniques
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with all key stakeholders
- Work with varying professionals including doctors, psychiatrists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to develop and implement individualised client goals and checklists
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of incidents and plans
- Assist the Regional Clinical Manager as required
- A bachelor's degree and/or postgraduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support
- Proven experience as either a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Behaviour Analyst or Behaviour Therapist
- High level oral and written communication skills including the demonstrated ability to prepare and finalise technical reports in a timely manner
- Demonstrated and effective time management skills including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities set in a fast-paced environment
- A current NDIS Practitioner ID, NDIS Worker Screening and Working with Children Check
- Valid driver's licence and vehicle
- Willingness to complete introductory IABA training in Non-Linear Multi-element Positive Behaviour Support
