This project is based in the Snowy Mountains region and will deliver one of the world's largest pumped hydro schemes.

Role Purpose:

A Delay Analyst supports claims identification, forensic analysis, notification, drafting of claim statements, and pursuing these with the client and legal team through various dispute resolution mechanisms.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field
  • White Card Certification
Background:
  • Minimum 10 years' experience working on large-scale engineering and construction projects, preferably hydroelectric schemes or tunnelling projects
  • Delivering delay analysis commissions, including schedule analysis and report writing
  • Familiarity with commercial and legal issues impacting project delivery
  • Negotiation and influencing skills to achieve desired outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Identify claims/variations with respect to head contracts and subcontracts
  2. Carry out delay analysis autonomously
  3. Assist with dispute resolution and claims planning matters
  4. Project tasks, including fact-finding and detailed analysis and quantification of delay
  5. Demonstrate critical paths and consequent disruption
  6. Development of master and construction schedules, liaison with works package contractors
  7. Production rate analysis and work cycle analysis to demonstrate entitlement to EoT
  8. Development of works baseline programme using Primavera P6
  9. Advice regarding retrospective analysis for EOTs, prolongation costs, disruption, programme critiques, and delay analysis critiques
  10. Carry out forensic analyses of claim circumstance based on contract and factual background
  11. Coordinate with quantity survey and cost control team
  12. Attend meetings with Employer on submitted claims for resolution
  13. Furnish inputs to legal team for dispute resolution
