The Registered Nurse (RN) is a pivotal role in the healthcare setting, focusing on providing patient-centered care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This position entails coordinating and delivering high-quality care based on established clinical protocols and physician/provider orders.
- Cultivates and executes comprehensive patient assessments, accurately documenting findings and reporting changes to relevant care team members.
- Leverages knowledge of human growth and development to deliver age-appropriate care and education, ensuring a personalized approach to each patient's needs.
- Administers prescribed medications, closely monitoring for side effects and documenting administration according to standards of practice.
- Serves as a skilled assistant to physicians during procedures within the scope of documented competency and skill level.
This role demands a high degree of independence, critical thinking, and effective communication skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and drive desired outcomes.
Key Qualifications- A minimum of 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting is required.
- Demonstrates expertise in the nursing process and clinical nursing practices, applying this knowledge to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Maintains the ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively, fostering strong relationships with patients and caregivers.
- Exhibits proficiency in administering medications and monitoring for side effects, ensuring seamless execution of treatment plans.
- Develops effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, driving cohesive care strategies.
- Displays strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care, maintaining accurate records and facilitating informed decision-making.
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure is mandatory.
- BCLS - Basic Life Support certification is required.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is preferred.
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification is preferred.
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation certification is preferred.
