Job Title: Financial Reporting and Budgeting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Reporting and Budgeting Manager to lead and manage our Financial Reporting and External Budgeting functions.

  • Lead and manage a team accountable for external and statutory reporting;
  • Manage budget and forecasting processes for internal and external business needs;
  • Develop and maintain financial policies, controls and standard operating procedures;
  • Initiate, develop, maintain and strengthen mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders;

The successful candidate will have experience in preparing, interpreting, analyzing and presenting departmental and administered financial statements and periodic financial reports. They will also have demonstrated leadership skills, including leading and developing high-performing teams, and collaboration that builds trust and provides support for development opportunities.

This role requires a comprehensive understanding of financial practices in the Commonwealth Government, with the ability to partner with executive staff to ensure operational excellence and a cohesive approach to financial management. The successful candidate will also act as Chief Financial Officer (in periods of absence) to ensure continuity in financial leadership and management decision-making.
