Procurement Specialist Job Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Procurement Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for expediting, logistics, contract management, procurement activities, and category management.

  • About the Role:
  • The Procurement Specialist will engage with internal/external stakeholders to provide expertise that supports strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Tender Documentation and Purchase Orders: Prepare and distribute tender documentation and purchase orders for high-value items.
  2. Evaluation of Bids: Oversee the evaluation of bids and ensure orders align with specifications.
  3. Logistics Coordination: Ensure timely delivery by coordinating with logistics companies.
  4. Cost-Effective Strategies: Identify cost-effective procurement strategies without compromising quality.
  5. Supplier Relationships: Build strong supplier relationships to maximize business contributions.
  6. Project Support: Provide vital support for projects and coordinate spare parts delivery.
  7. Other Duties: Perform any other duties as required.

Requirements:

  1. Similar Experience: Experience in a similar role, preferably within the resources sector.
  2. Qualifications: Qualification in Commerce or a relevant field is highly regarded.
  3. Pronto Experience: Experience using Pronto is highly regarded.
  4. Software Skills: Competent user of MS office suite and other relevant supply chain software and applications.
  5. Cost Calculation: Ability to calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure.
