The role will involve regional travel to numerous central NSW towns, where you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering education presentations to school-aged children, coordinating and delivering shopping centre and other community displays, reporting on interactions and presentations, participating in data collection and behavioural observation projects, and engaging and liaising with residents and the community at the kerbside/in the community.

As a Waste Educator/Community Engagement Officer, you will be the face of our company, promoting our values and services to the community. You will need to provide professional customer service and community engagement, be able to prioritise and perform duties in a varied role, facilitate the flow of information, and demonstrate an enthusiasm and determination to perform work tasks.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating a more sustainable future for their community and has a willingness to engage in physical research projects, including frequent early morning walking bin inspections and educational intervention programs. You will also need to have a reasonable level of computer literacy, including an understanding of basic Excel functions, and be confident in verbal communication skills, including customer service and face-to-face public engagement.
