GIS Data Coordinator

Ventia is seeking a skilled GIS Data Coordinator to join our team and contribute to the management, development, and delivery of our enterprise GIS platforms. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and leveraging our investment in spatial infrastructure, ensuring data quality, and providing advice and assistance across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain digital models, plans, and datasets in accordance with Defence and Ventia Spatial Data Management Plan (SDMP) and Geospatial Information Management System.
- Perform data manipulations and ensure data quality, accuracy, and accessibility for team members.
- Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures and policies for geospatial data management and manipulation.
- Provide and/or support the production of special-purpose spatial data sets, analysis, maps, and applications as requested by management.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual with a strong background in spatial sciences or a related field. You should have knowledge of data governance and compliance regulations, as well as experience in data management, including data operations, data quality, and data security.
Requirements- Diploma or Degree qualified in spatial sciences or a related geospatial, construction, design, and engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance regulations.
- Understanding of National Construction Code and Australian Standards.
- Familiarity with ETL tools and processes.
- Experience in data management, including data operations, data quality, and data security.
