We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to fill the role of Associate Nurse Unit Manager in a Surgical Services team.
Main Responsibilities:- Providing proficient, person-centred nursing care and overseeing daily patient outcomes within a supportive team environment.
- Mentoring less experienced staff, fostering a positive and professional culture.
- Supporting unit operations including rostering, staffing, recruitment, and performance management.
- Driving quality and improvement through clinical audits, promoting best practice care, and supporting implementation of practice improvements and change initiatives.
- Facilitating clinical teaching and contributing to ongoing staff development and portfolio maintenance.
- Registered Nurse (or eligible) with a current practicing certificate.
- Minimum 3 years post-registration nursing experience, including demonstrated competence in surgical nursing.
- Experience in paediatric surgical nursing and supervising student nurses, enrolled nurses, and junior registered nurses.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, industrial agreements, professional standards, and quality improvement systems.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, with excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
