Job Title: Financial Analyst

The role of a Financial Analyst is to provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions. We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled analyst with strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in finance, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare management reports for the executive team and monthly financial reporting and analysis for programs.
  • Preparation of budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Support financial systems transformation, including Sage Intacct implementation and integration with other platforms.
  • Provide high-quality reporting, variance analysis, and insights for decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, translating complex financial information for non-finance audiences.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or similar.
  • CA or CPA qualified or working towards.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in finance, in an analyst role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Experience in reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated experience in the NFP or human services sector, including fund/grant reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience using excel and business intelligence tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
