
Enhancing Road Safety and Community Wellbeing Coordinator

As a critical member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing road safety and community wellbeing through the School Crossing Supervisor program. Your responsibilities will include managing HR processes, supporting road safety initiatives, and collaborating with internal teams, government agencies, and community groups to achieve meaningful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities- Facilitate the management of School Crossing Supervisor scheme operations across geographically diverse locations, administering related human resource processes including recruitment, onboarding, payroll functions, and staff performance.
- Support the implementation of road safety programs within the Road Safety unit and work effectively as a team member contributing to team objectives.
- Collaborate with departmental colleagues and representatives of other government agencies and community groups to deliver agreed road safety outcomes and comply with departmental customer service quality and performance standards.
To thrive in this position, you will need to demonstrate:
- A current C or CA class driver license.
- A Working with children check (Blue Card) upon commencement of employment and at all times while employed by us.
- A criminal history check prior to appointment to the role.
- Demonstrated ability to assess situations through multiple perspectives, analyse information, and provide reasonable solutions.
- Interpersonal skills, communication skills, both orally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders.
- Time management and organisational skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage changing priorities and deliver outputs.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Dedication to promoting respect, inclusion, and diversity within a workplace setting.
- Ability to deliver community engagement and workshops.
- Aptitude for adjusting to evolving environments and changing expectations.
- Strong attention to detail with proven administrative skills.
