Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at our Seven Hills office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Analysis: Analyse and interpret tunnel plans, RF design specifications and relevant documentation to identify necessary components and associated costs.
  • Design & Installation Costing: Estimate costs for labour, materials, equipment and installation expenses for both deployment and commissioning stages.
  • Material Procurement: Accurately determine quantities and specifications for required materials.
  • Labour Scheduling: Calculate labour hours required for installation, testing and commissioning, factoring in conditions, complexity and potential delays.
  • Contractor Management: Obtain, review and negotiate quotes with contractors for specialised works.
  • Risk Evaluation: Identify and evaluate potential cost risks, including material delays, access limitations, labour rate increases and technical challenges.
  • Cost Control: Monitor actual project costs against initial estimates, highlight variances and recommend cost-saving measures.
  • Tender Preparation: Prepare and submit accurate tender documentation for review by management and the business development team.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, contractors and internal teams.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up to date with RF technologies, construction estimating best practices and relevant industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in construction estimating, ideally within RF, tunnel or linear infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of RF principles, antenna systems, cabling types and related technologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Experience preparing estimates for large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency with estimating software and relevant tools.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction or a related field.
