Geological Assets Strategist

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to secure and sustain geological assets across existing operations and future growth areas.

The ideal candidate will have experience in resource evaluation, project delivery, and program management, as well as strong commercial awareness and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive reserves and resources replenishment strategy.
  • Lead the development of reserve and resource reporting in line with JORC (2012) standards.
  • Collaborate with site operations, technical teams, support processes, and business leaders to drive positive business outcomes.
  • IDentify future resource opportunities and inform long-term planning.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions through resource assessments and due diligence.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and reporting standards.
  • Deliver annual reporting via Aggregates Reserves Management (ARM) process.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or Mining Engineering.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Extractive Industries or relevant experience.
  • 15+ years in Exploration, Mine Geology, or Technical Services, or relevant Aggregates industry experience.
  • Membership (or eligibility) with AusIMM or AIG.
  • Recognised or eligible as a Competent Person (JORC 2012) or equivalent reporting code.
  • Demonstrable strong experience in geological modelling, resource evaluation, project delivery, and program management.
  • Experience working across operational and leadership teams, influencing positive outcomes.
  • Commercial awareness and strong stakeholder engagement capability.
  • Proficiency in industry-relevant modelling software, modern business platforms, and ERP systems.
