Childcare Professional Required

We are seeking a skilled and caring professional to join our team in the Early Learning Centre (ELC). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children aged 3-5 years in a community preschool setting.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist room teachers with implementing a well-planned program for 3-5-year-olds using the Early Years Framework, ensuring a stimulating and engaging learning environment that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  2. Develop positive relationships with children, understanding their individual needs and interests, and creating a safe and nurturing space that fosters trust and respect.
  3. Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment, adhering to relevant health and safety standards, and participating in regular cleaning schedules and maintenance tasks.
  4. Collaborate with the team to ensure centre compliance with Education and Care Services Regulations, supporting the implementation of policies and procedures that promote quality care and education.
  5. Establish and maintain effective relationships with families, keeping them informed about their child's daily activities, progress, and any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Certificate III qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification.
  • Completion of Identify & Respond to Children and Young People at Risk course (CHCPRT001).
  • Knowledge of the Education and Care National Regulations and National Quality Framework.
  • Current Working with Children Check clearance.
