The OpportunityWe're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Subcontracts Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting complex strategic sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and providing advice on contractual matters. If you have a proven ability to develop solutions to complex problems, excellent negotiation skills, and a strong understanding of budgets and cost control, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities- Key Responsibilities:
- Identify gaps in Insitu Pacific's supply chain capability to meet business needs.
- Conduct pre-award sourcing activities using RF(x) suite of documentation.
- Review proposals, negotiate contractual documentation, and select or recommend suppliers.
- Carry out post-award contract execution and administration.
- Manage post-award supplier relationship and performance management of suppliers.
- Be the point of contact with assigned subcontractor/supplier for all related contractual matters.
- Ensure compliance with Export and Import Control requirements.
- Provide support, advice, training, and education to other departments on SM&P policies and procedures.
- Essential:
- Tertiary qualification in a law or business-related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- 10 years' experience in high-value contract/subcontract management and administration.
- Strong negotiation skills and interpersonal skills to develop trust and influence.
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontracts and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work accurately and unsupervised.
- Understanding of budgets, cost control, and financial performance management.
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
- Able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
- Estimated salary: AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum.
