About the Role

The successful candidate will oversee both on-site and off-site operations at the Townsville Distribution Centre. They will lead a dynamic team, drive safety, operational performance, and team development while ensuring seamless collaboration across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety First: Lead safety as a core value across the site, including the yard and operations.
  • Operational Leadership: Achieve cost, KPI, and service metrics. Optimise service levels, productivity, and cost reductions.
  • Team Management: Lead a small, agile team with a focus on coaching, development, and performance.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Handle calls from sales and customers.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a leadership role within Supply Chain, Warehouse and Distribution environments.
  • Proven ability to manage both inbound and outbound logistics, reporting, compliance and project management of improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with WMS systems (SAP/ERP highly regarded).
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Highly effective planning and organisation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as part of a team.
