Key Job Role:
The primary goal of the After Hours Nurse Supervisor is to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care while fostering a supportive and positive work environment for the care team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure comprehensive care delivery addressing residents' medical, physical, and emotional needs.
- Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers, and support staff.
- Develop and oversee individualized care plans considering residents' unique health requirements and preferences.
- Oversee medication administration and management in accordance with prescribed schedules and protocols.
- Communicate effectively with residents' families or legal guardians providing updates on their loved one's condition and involving them in care decisions when appropriate.
- Handle emergency situations and critical incidents promptly and effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Aged Care as a Registered Nurse.
- Grade 5, Registered Nurse qualification.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards.
- Expertise in medication administration and wound care with a commitment to ongoing clinical excellence.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding proficiency in care planning, goal setting, and evaluation documentation.
- Capability to lead and manage a team effectively.
