Northparkes offers a unique opportunity to lead electrical capital projects that directly impact site performance and infrastructure. The site includes block caving, sub-level caving and open pit mining, and was the first in Australia to use the block cave method.

About the Role

The Senior Project Engineer will lead a portfolio of sustaining capital electrical projects from concept through to commissioning. You will act as the project's electrical subject matter expert, ensuring compliance with site-wide electrical standards, supporting both mechanical and electrical functions, and driving improvements across infrastructure and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a capable site electrical projects team
  • Manage electrical sustaining capital projects end-to-end
  • Support cross-functional teams in project delivery and commissioning
  • Lead stakeholder engagement across technical and operational teams
  • Resolve long-standing site issues through innovative engineering solutions
  • Maintain health, safety, and environmental standards across all projects
  • Demonstrate behaviours aligned with our values

About You

You will hold an Electrical Engineering degree and a manual driver's licence. You will bring extensive capital project management experience in a mining environment, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and infrastructure. Proactive problem solving, confident communication, and collaborative teamwork are essential.
