About the Role

This role will involve supporting senior staff in working on a portfolio of business clients. The key responsibilities include:

  1. Preparing accounts and workpapers for clients, ensuring compliance across various structures such as companies, trusts, partnerships, and sole traders.
  2. Assisting with general ledger reconciliations, year-end adjustments, budget preparation, cash flow analysis, tax advice, and management accounting reporting.
  3. Handling income tax matters, including return preparation and taxation planning for different structures.
  4. Supporting senior staff on employment-related taxation matters and monthly compliance obligations like PAYG.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree in a relevant accounting, business, or commerce discipline or significant experience working in public practice.
  • Exceptional communication skills, professionalism, and a personable demeanor.
  • The ability to learn quickly and thrive in an evolving and fast-paced business environment.
