The Office of Research at CQUniversity drives impactful, real-world research through strong industry and community partnerships. Our research portfolio is diverse and spans multiple disciplines, with a focus on innovation and excellence.

As a Senior Research Attorney, you will be responsible for providing high-level legal advice and guidance to researchers, students, and other stakeholders across the University. You will work closely with our research teams to develop and implement strategies that support our research goals and objectives.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of success in a similar role, who is passionate about research and committed to delivering exceptional results. If you have a strong background in contract and intellectual property law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently, we would love to hear from you.

About You

  • You hold or are eligible to hold a current, unrestricted Practicing Certificate
  • You have a degree in Law (Bachelor of Laws) or equivalent
  • You have experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
  • You possess highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • You have a proven ability to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders
  • You have practical knowledge and experience advising on contract and intellectual property matters
  • You are self-directed and able to achieve positive outcomes for the University and stakeholders
  • You have experience working with client confidentiality and legal professional privilege

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary range of $117,129 to $127,380 pa
