The Role

A fabulous local Gold Coast opportunity exists to join the Infinite Care Legal team in a permanent full-time Legal Counsel or Senior Legal Counsel role based in our Corporate Support Centre in Bundall, Gold Coast. You will be a key support to the Chief Legal & Commercial Officer and other legal team members. A perfect opportunity for a self-motivated and dynamic individual who is looking to grow with us, develop their career, and who can juggle multiple competing & time-sensitive demands. This role is required to be in the office daily to ensure team collaboration and pace of legal operations.

Key Responsibilities

Under the support and guidance of the Chief Legal & Commercial Officer you will be exposed to a range of areas including:

1. Reviewing, negotiating and drafting a range of commercial and legal documents
2. Providing assistance with mergers and acquisitions, development and construction of new facilities
3. Employment law matters
4. Manage requests from internal stakeholders and where necessary provide reports to senior management personnel
5. Provide ad hoc legal advice through research and consultation to support the Infinite Care Group
6. Analyse and identify legal risks and implications
7. Coordinate and liaise with external legal advisors and consultants
8. General administration requirements and ad hoc projects as directed
9. Keep abreast of all new laws and regulations that may have implications for the Group
10. Work to resolve complex matters with support from the Chief Legal & Commercial Officer

What we expect from you?

1. 5+ years post admission experience
2. Qualified to practice law in Queensland with relevant law experience gained from a reputable law firm or in-house legal department
3. Exposure to the Aged Care sector would be advantageous but not essential
4. Proven knowledge of legal concepts and their application to achieve effective business outcomes
5. Ability to establish, maintain and enhance positive internal and external stakeholder relationships
6. Effectively and professionally communicate both verbally and in written format
7. Strong attention to detail, documentation, drafting skills and timely communication is essential
8. Strong commercial acumen and ability to produce quality work output within quick turnaround times
9. Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
10. Strong time management and organisation skills with ability to multi-task with pace
11. A positive attitude and good sense of humour is a must
