Quality Assurance Specialist Opportunity

Blackbook Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our client at their Laverton facility. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing quality and food safety systems, including FSSC, GMP, HACCP, and compliance with external standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, then implementing appropriate corrective actions to close any gaps that need addressing.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the production process, quality assurance and quality control to boost efficiency.
  • Facilitate workshops, and promote and champion quality culture and improvement onsite.
  • Maintain and update relevant systems and documentation, ensuring accuracy whilst also continuing to redefine the best approach in gathering and reporting data.
  • Collaborate across various stakeholders to implement performance improvement and effectively roll-out quality initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Food manufacturing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Technology or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong knowledge of process and production, as well as GFSI, HACCP and GMP.
  • Demonstrated achievements in continuous improvement processes, with lean six sigma proficiency being desirable.
