Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering operational skills training to police officers and other clients.

You will provide leadership, supervision, and support to staff, assess program participants, and prepare required reports based on these assessments.

The successful candidate will plan, facilitate, and review the delivery and assessment of education and training programs. You will also liaise with members of the Queensland Police Service and other agencies and individuals to develop effective working relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver operational skills training, including firearms training, to police officers and other clients.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and support to staff.
  • Assess program participants and prepare required reports.
  • Plan, facilitate, and review the delivery and assessment of education and training programs.
  • Liaise with members of the Queensland Police Service and other agencies and individuals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • An Open 'C' class licence.
  • Formal qualifications in Assessment and Training (e.g. Certificate IV or higher).
  • Completion of relevant operational skills and tactics courses, including District Firearms Training Officer Course, Police Operational Skills and Tactics Instructors Course, Taser Instructor Course, Active Armed Offender Instructor Course, First Aid and Tactical First Aid Training Instructors course.
