Job Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at St Matthews Preschool. The successful candidate will contribute to the planning, implementation, evaluation and reflection of the educational program for the children. They will also provide quality education and care to help support and facilitate learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Teaching or Early Childhood Education and a minimum of 2 years' experience working as an ECT. They will also be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and community members, and have the ability to live Uniting's everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of programs which reflect the approved learning framework.
  • Developing positive and respectful relationships that support children, their families and community.
  • Facilitating play-based learning environments that are responsive to children's interests, strengths, and abilities.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Teaching or Early Childhood Education.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working as an ECT.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and community members.
