Lead Design Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Lead Design Consultant to oversee the design process across multiple projects in the construction industry.

  • Manage the overall design strategy, ensuring adherence to schedules and client expectations
  • Collaborate with architects, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve design challenges effectively
  • Conduct thorough design reviews to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and client specifications
  • Coordinate value engineering and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the construction team and design consultants
  • Drive innovative design solutions while maintaining a balance between functionality, aesthetics, and cost
  • Oversee the creation and approval of comprehensive design documentation
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Lead Design Consultant or similar role within the construction industry
  • Strong background in delivering high-profile educational and health projects (or similar)
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • Comprehensive understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals to achieve project goals
  • A degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management is preferred
