About the Role

At Bupa, we are seeking a Hospitality Service Assistant to join our team in Narre Warren. The successful candidate will provide support to the hospitality function within our care home, including catering, cleaning, and laundry.

About You

Previous experience in catering, food services, or cleaning is preferred but not essential. As a team player, you will enjoy interacting with people and giving back to our most vulnerable residents.

Duties

  • Maintain legislated workplace health and safety, quality, and hygiene standards
  • Complete required documentation and reporting
  • Respond to residents' queries and requests
  • Laundry duties include loading washers & dryers, sort linen, hang, fold, wrap, or iron linen
  • Catering / food services duties include assisting with basic food prep, provide meals and snacks, clear dining areas, and dishwashing
  • Cleaning duties include general cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, and waste collection in residents' rooms, bathrooms, communal, and living areas

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Cleaning or catering experience preferred but not essential
  • Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week
  • You will have an understanding of work health, safety, and hygiene practices and the ability to work unsupervised
