Job Description:

The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for designing, coding, and supporting various web applications and services.

These include the development of a suite of cross-platform routing systems that feature complex GIS and mapping functionality combined with user-friendly design and clear navigation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Writing well-written, testable, and efficient code by using software development best practices that comply with specifications provided
  • Demonstrating the ability to identify and fix errors in code
  • Designing and constructing database objects such as tables, indexes, and stored procedures
  • Writing various back-end services that can be leveraged by web designers to create web products

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fundamental knowledge of multi-tiered, multi-threaded, and multi-user applications
  • Familiarity with relational databases (Postgres, MS SQL, etc.) and writing basic database queries
  • Understanding of web application security as well as code development best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field
