Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated TAS Teacher to join our team at St Benedict's Catholic College, Oran Park. As a Classroom Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching TAS and contributing to the growth and development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver effective teaching and learning programs in TAS, aligned with the Australian Curriculum and the College's educational goals.
  • Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and well-being.
  • Assess student learning and progress, using a range of strategies to inform teaching and improve student outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage students in learning, including the use of technology and innovative teaching methods.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum programs, and to share best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture, and to the implementation of College policies and procedures.

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrated expertise in teaching TAS, with a strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum and the College's educational goals.
  • Ability to create and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to assess student learning and progress, and to use data to inform teaching and improve student outcomes.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional learning and development, and to staying up-to-date with best practices in teaching and learning.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in teaching timber, or a related subject.

Qualifications:

  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching TAS, including a Bachelor of Education or a related degree.
  • Level B Accreditation in accordance with the College's policies and procedures.
  • Registration to teach with the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA).

Working with Children Clearance:

This role requires a Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to commencement.
