Occupational Therapist Role

We are a national NDIS provider, delivering Allied Health support in over 300 locations across Australia to thousands of participants in the community with Occupational & Speech Therapy, Behaviour Support, Psychology, Exercise Physiology services.

This is an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our team and work in a variety of settings. You will have the flexibility to select your days and manage your caseload effectively.

Your day will include:

  • Managing an allocated caseload and completing therapeutic services in a timely manner
  • Assessing participants' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental and physical level of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
  • Interpreting findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
  • Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions that help participants get more out of life
  • Supporting and advising on adaptations to the environment including home, school, work and residential facilities
  • Recommending provision of Assistive Technology to assist participants with their functional limitations and to promote independence
  • Maintaining awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance

Requirements

You will need:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
  • A proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas
  • A genuine passion for working in the disability sector
